About me
Dr. Evi Wusk, Assistant Professor of Educational Technology at Peru State College, draws from over 17 years of classroom experience. Her roles include High Ability Learning Coordinator, 7-12 Language Arts and Journalism Teacher, fifth-grade classroom teacher, and certified PK-12 Librarian. She has also consulted for the National Research Corporation and Allo/Nelnet.
Wusk previously served on the Board of Directors for the Nebraska Writing Project and the Nebraska Educational Technology Association. As founder of the Teacher Joy Project, she gathers stories from teachers, both retired and practicing. Her aim is to amplify the voices of the people who make a difference for students day in and day out: teachers. The project aims to spotlight the fulfillment and joy that come from teaching while being mindful and clear about the challenges teachers face. The project also shares practical tips and tricks for managing the emotional toll of teaching and freeing up time through leveraging educational technology. The inner world of teachers matters, and with that knowledge Evi hopes to be a force for good, connecting teachers in the Midwest and beyond. She shares her reflections and stories on her website, eviwusk.com, and hosts the podcast, Tell me a Teaching Story.
