About me
I am passionate about early Literacy instruction based on the decades of research that compiles the Science of Reading. It is a goal of mine to help bridge this important research to practice, and empower teachers with the application of this knowledge to the multitude of instructional decisions they make daily with their students. I have been a system consultant with NeMTSS for the last five years, and am keenly aware that in order for schools to sustain best practices, there must be a deeply implemented system in place anchored in ongoing teaming and problem solving. My background is elementary/EC classroom teacher. I am a wife, mom (of four), grandma (of 2) and in my free time enjoy spending time with family, taking our pup, Stella for long walks and soaking in as much as I can about current Literacy instruction. My favorite quote is on a t-shirt I wear often.... "Literacy and Justice for All!"
